This interactive training offers practical tools and perspectives from the evidence-based Mindful Self-Compassion program, designed with helping professionals in mind. 

In this 4-session training, you will learn tools for:

  • Authentic self-care and self-compassion in daily life

  • On-the-spot practices for stressful moments (with clients, in meetings, with family)

  • Softening self-criticism and perfectionism 

  • Meeting difficult emotions with greater ease

  • Alleviating burnout and caregiving fatigue

Upon completion of this program, you will be positioned to teach simple self-compassion practices to others, drawing from your own experiences in the training.


Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion

  • Experience a self-compassion practice for moments of difficulty

  • Receive resources to learn and practice MSC

Short-course in Mindful Self-Compassion

6-week series with 1-hour sessions
Learn and integrate informal self-compassion practices into daily life

Take time just for you to relax, turn inward, and explore befriending yourself in new and meaningful ways. This course includes 6 hours of training and practice focused on informal self-compassion practices for daily life. 

Course themes include:

  • Practicing self-compassion / Self-compassion and mindfulness practices for daily life and moments of stress

  • Discovering your compassionate voice / An exercise focused on motivation with compassion

  • Self-compassion and resilience / A practice for working with difficult emotions

  • Addressing burnout / A practice for compassion with equanimity

  • Living deeply / Journaling to reconnect with your values

Program activities include short talks, experiential exercises and brief meditations, and discussion, offered in a relaxed and spacious way.  Practice between sessions is optional.
