It has been an honor to work with people one-on-one for the past 17 years. I’ve come to recognize that we each have our own unique way to get the most out of private work. Together, we will follow the signals from your body, mind, heart and spirit. Sessions can be explored sitting, standing, lying down or in whatever way promotes the deepest listening for you.

I am a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator in the work of Brené Brown and an AmSAT Alexander Technique Teacher with further training in Internal Family Systems.

I draw on these tools because they have all had a lasting impact on my own life and those I've worked with. They will provide guide posts with the highest regard to discovering the innate wisdom and abilities that are already within you.

I work with people who are on medication, not on medication or somewhere in between. We will look at this aspect respectfully and will be your ally in listening around what is working or not working for you.

I’ve been in talk therapy for a very long time and while I’ve found that work tremendously valuable, this work has been very fast, surprisingly sudden, and complete in what its helped me unearth, understand and work through.  In particular, I have to say as a man, I feel like we’re often taught that we’re not allowed to experience feelings of uncertainty, vulnerability, or things that might be perceived as weakness. Allowing myself to experience these emotions and the physical sensations connected with them has been illuminating and most importantly, very helpful in preparing me with tools and techniques for the next time I experience or encounter these sorts of emotions and feelings. ~Shannon Michael Wamser
